2/10- Today we charged the drone and then we went outside to fly it. Today for the first time our drone flew and we managed to fly it smoother than usual.
2/19- Today we are simply working on our weebly and finishing the requirements. We also have our drone blue prints done and our team binder
2/20- We are working on our drone missions( what we want our drones to accomplish and their purpose.) For our mission we decided to group up with group "Reign." Our new group members are: Ale A., Ashley C. and Estella F. Together we decided that we were going to make an obstacle course for our drone.
2/23-For our mission we decided we were going to have 2 different levels of difficulty; "beginners" and "advanced." The beginners would have few obstacle and the main purpose would be flying it without crashing it. The advanced would have many more challenging obstacles and would focus more on challenging the pilot.
2/26- Today we are critiquing and getting feedback for our drone missions; things we could change and improve and thing that stood out and should remain the same.
2/28- After getting our feedback, we noticed what were some defects with our mission and made changes right away.
3/1- We learned about pitch, yaw and roll and how it affects flying a drone. Roll is a rotation on the front to back axis, pitch is a rotation on the side-to-side axis and yaw is a rotation at the vertical axis.
3/4- After learning this new components, we went outside and flew our drone. Our group successfully flew it since we discovered a combination of roll, pitch and yaw that made it fly high and smoothly.
3/5- We furthered our knowledge in yaw, pitch and roll and learned how much each component affected flying a drone. We did a mini exercise of building a paper airplane and trying t shoot it onto a target.
3/6- We got assigned roles in our group to finally be more prepare for exhibition.
